Technology seems to be a term that is often thrown around in response to the world's growing obsession with 'what will come next.' Whether it is laptop computers, cell phones, MP3 players, someone is always making the old, better. Technology, in my opinion, is anything virtual, or that which can not be physically seen. Any form of technology of course can be held or seen, but how the device is actually working is digitalized, is sent or 'beamed' from an unknown programmed source. It is possible that technology is anything that needs to be or was invented off a sort of program to ensure its correct function, but in present times the word technology is so often used that it seems that everything we use is a form of technology.
Could it be the progression of making an old form "better" or more usable?
Could it be a virtual form of an object used?
In a broader sense, technology appears to be unable to be defined within my vocabulary and knowledge of the subject, and it is a term that everyone seems to have their own opinions on, so maybe the definition is just that, an opinion of whoever defined it in a dictionary, which transferred it to a term that everyone knows and alters with their own experiences.

In relation, the necessity for 'multi' medias is because no two people are the same. No one can express every one of their ideas in the exact way as another person. Certain people feel a connection to poetry or writing, and others find an ease in expressing themselves through painting or photography. In order to fully allow people to express themselves, get their ideas across, advance technology, there must be different media forms to enable everyone to have their say and their opinion or expression on display for others
